How to Judge a Man for Marriage
Tips from an anti-feminist who is ardently in love with her husband
This dichotomy of Chad Waste Your Time and Bob Reliable and Boring is invented by modern culture that does not want you married and in love. I want to tell you that there is a third way that exists. It is possible to find a man to marry who will not only be responsible and reliable, but who will also make you blush and feel like dancing in your room with giddiness even as youth fades.
I believe in the kind of romance of stolen kisses and hand-holding even when you are old and grey. But to get this requires you to have good judgement when you are young.
A good husband is not simply a wonderful thing to have, he is your other half and the one who will help you have a happy family. He will be the one you have the most conversations with, and the companion and witness to your life. He will be the one to have children with and help you raise them well.
Good husbands are not only amazing, but they are necessary to a woman having the most fulfilled version of her life. Even the most ardent feminist, deep down, in the most secret corner of her heart, wants to fall in love with a man she respects and live happily ever after.
However, good husbands are not easy to find. Many people try and fail. The task is even more daunting considering you do have a limited amount of time to find him. But the good news is, you only need to find one!
All bad husbands are bad in their own way, but all good husbands have a few things in common with each other.
The consequences of not making the judgement between good and bad properly, is not merely divorce, but that you could end up wasting years of your life wandering around wasting time with men who aren’t good for you, feeling like you need to settle for someone who doesn’t give you butterflies, doesn’t make you want to kiss him passionately.
How can we measure whether or not a man would be a good husband? It is based on whether he can properly fulfil the duties and responsibilities of being a husband. The word “husband” is related to the word “steward” and to gardening. This implies that the duty of the husband is to guard and protect his family against external threats and to protect and provide for his wife and children. In practical terms, there are a few things to look out for when choosing a good husband…and if you are already married, this might be a good refresher to see how you can change course if needed to get that beautiful lasting romance that everyone wants
