The Most Chivalric Tale of Prince Sigfried and the Proud Princess

Since this is my substack, I suppose I can have a little fun from time to time :)

I occasionally enjoy writing fiction. I watched the movie Brave a long time ago and I was so disappointed at how they took a perfectly interesting premise, a proud and obstinate “girl boss” Merida and ruined the entire thing by conjoining it with the plot of Brother Bear. I was so mad!! I thought of how great a story could be if Merida could learn her lesson, be humbled somehow, and figure out that marriage and womanhood is not so light a thing to discard. I’ve published the first four chapters of my own version of this story. If you like it, I will publish the rest!
